To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many robberies and burglaries were reported during the month of January in and around the vicinity of Millisle village, Co. Down; how many of these incidents involved the use of firearms; and if he will make a statement on the police presence at this location.

In January 1991 two burglaries and one robbery in Millisle were reported to the RUC. A firearm was used in the robbery. Millisle area is policed from Donaghadee, approximately two miles away. Mobile patrols cover the area on a 24-hour basis and foot patrols operate in the village.
