§ Mr. MaddenTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when the report of a joint DTI/HM Customs investigation into wool fibre deficiencies in wool imported from the Prato region of Italy is to be published; for how long the investigation was conducted; how many samples were tested; what action he proposes taking following the investigation; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Leigh[holding answer 7 February 1991]: The results of the investigation into certain wool imports have so far been inconclusive. We are now exploring the possibility of a further exercise on a wider basis.
