To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many young people have been injured or killed in accidents caused by falling from the doors of moving trains for each of the last five years.

There have been some 270 casualties in accidents involving people falling from trains in the last five years, including provisional figures for 1990. Her Majesty's railway inspectorate does not keep separate records of accidents involving young people.
