To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information he has about Romanian babies being brought into the United Kingdom and subsequently returned to Romania by adults not wishing to pursue adoption procedures.

We are not aware of any case where this has happened. Adoption law provides that Romanian children are given the same protection as any other child who is subject to adoption proceedings.
