To ask the Secretary of State for Transport in what areas there have been joint approaches by his Department and Irish Government officials to the European Community on transport matters.

Mr. Rifkind

There have been no such approaches, but I and my Department keep in close contact with Irish colleagues on all matters of common transport interest.
