To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when he intends to pay an official visit to the duchy.

I recently attended a meeting of the Knowsley magisterial advisory committee on Merseyside, and I hope to pay another visit to the duchy in the near future.

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when he will next make an official visit to the duchy; and if he will make a statement.

I have no precise plans to make an official visit to the duchy at present, although I hope to do so in the near future. I recently visited the Knowsley magisterial advisory committee and was very impressed by its businesslike approach to the difficult and responsible job it has in finding candidates who are entirely suitable for the important judicial appointment of justice of the peace.
