§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryThe new arbitration scheme for resolving disputes arising from coal mining subsidence damage has been voluntarily put in place by the British Coal Corporation and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators with the encouragement of my Department. The Department was consulted on the draft rules of the scheme.
