To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what advice his Department has given to the Port of London Authority with regard to the disposal of dredgings on land at Cliffe marshes, Kent; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer Thursday 7 February]: None. It is the responsibility of the PLA to investigate ways of disposing of silt dredged from the Thames and to seek any necessary statutory permissions.
