To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he released the inspectors' report on Signal Life Assurance Co. Ltd. to any organisations.

It would be inappropriate for me to discuss details of individual unpublished reports. Such reports, which include that into the affairs of Signal Life Assurance Co. Limited, are disclosed where appropriate under the Companies Act 1948, as amended, under part XIV of the Companies Act 1985, as amended, and under the Financial Services Act 1986.
