§ Mr. CousinsTo ask the Prime Minister if he will list all programmes approved by the European Community under the framework programme for research and development stating in each case the sums spent in the United Kingdom as a percentage of the total, and giving the equivalent figures for(a) France, (b) the German Federal Republic and (c) Italy.
§ The Prime MinisterInformation is not available in the form requested. The third framework programme provides for 15 specific programmes on which negotiations are still proceeding. They are expected to be adopted by the Council of Ministers later this year. For the most part, funds will then be allocated to research projects by competitive tender.
