Mr. Conway

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what statistics he has on the number of accidents involving school buses and the number of persons injured.

Mr. Chope

The Department collects information only on accidents which involve personal injury. No information is available on the use to which vehicles are put at the time of the accident, but information is available on bus or minibus accidents involving at least one school pupil who was injured whilst travelling as a passenger.
