§ Mr. Maples[holding answer 5 February 1991]: The Paris club mainly restructures debts outstanding to the export credit agencies of OECD countries. At end 1987 OECD export credit agencies total outstanding stock of debt was about $375 billion. Of this total, about $48 billion was debt outstanding to the United Kingdom.
