Whether in view of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the USSR and between Japan and the Government of North Korea, it remains in the interest of the United Kingdom not to have diplomatic relations with North Korea.
The Earl of CaithnessJapan and North Korea have not yet established diplomatic relations. We have no plans to establish diplomatic relations with North Korea, which we do not recognise as a state.
