HC Deb 06 February 1991 vol 185 cc189-90W
Mr. Ron Davies

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much money has been raised from the sale of Forestry Commission land and woodlands during the past 10 years; and what is the anticipated income from sales to the year 2000.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

[holding answer 4 February 1991]: A total of £137 million was raised from the sale of Forestry Commission land and property between 1981, when the disposals programme started, and 31 March 1990, the latest date for which figures are available. It is anticipated that a similar sum will be raised from further sales to the year 2000.
