§ Mr. CousinsTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will state the cumulative exposure of long-term project assistance under the Export Credits Guarantee Department(a) in total and (b) on a country by country basis as at 31 march 1983, 1988 and 1990.
§ Mr. SainsburyTotal amounts at risk in respect of project business are included in ECGD's annual trading accounts, copies of which are in the Library. As a matter of general policy, ECGD's exposure on individual countries is not made public.
§ Mr. CousinsTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) what was the number of applications for ECGD cover in each of the years since 1980 distinguishing between short-term cover and long-term cover; and what was the number of applications accepted in each case;
(2) what was the number of applications for EGCD cover in countries now part of the European Community in each year since 1980, distinguishing between short-term cover and long-term project cover.
