To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on food aid to the USSR.

With our partners we are watching developments in the Soviet Union closely. We have suspended European Community technical assistance although emergency and food aid may continue where we can guarantee delivery direct to those in need. There is no Government-to-Government aid to the Soviet Union.
