Mr. Tom Clarke

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what savings he expects from the Overseas Development Administrations procurement, advisory and monitoring unit for 1991–92; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 31 January 1991]: The 'new savings' target to be set for 1991–92 will meet the requirements specified by the central unit on purchasing and published in the 1990 progress report to the Prime Minister on Government purchasing.
