HC Deb 01 February 1991 vol 184 c666W
Mr. Robert G. Hughes

To ask the Minister for the Arts if he will give details of any proposed changes to the cash limits of his Department's votes in 1990–91.

Mr. Renton

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary supplementary estimate, the cash limit of class XIII, vote 2, is being increased from £199,025,000 to £199,867,000 to facilitate the additional provision of £842,000 to the Arts Council of Great Britain. The increase will be met by a corresponding saving on class XVI, vote 5, which is accounted for by the Welsh Office.

This change is within the forecast outturn for the planning total published today in the statistical supplement to the 1990 autumn statement.
