The changes also take account of a number of minor transfers between the Ministry of Defence and other Government Departments. They are consistent with the forecast outturn for the planning total published today in the statistical supplement to the 1990 autumn statement.
(2) Running Costs Limit
Within the block Defence cash limit the running costs limit for the Department will be increased by £66,011,000 from £5,362,678,000 to £5,428,689,000. This is mainly for additional running costs being incurred on the Defence budget as a result of the crisis in the Gulf area.
