§ Mr. BaldryThe Government have stated in their consultation paper on the Environment Agency issued on 3 October—copies of which have been placed in the Library—that they do not consider there would be a role for area-based waste disposal plans when the agency is set up. The Government are reviewing the need for waste regulation authorities to draw up waste disposal plans in the interim period before the agency is set up.
