§ Dr. David Clarkto ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give the figures for each county in Northern Ireland for each year since 1988 of(a) the number of serious irregularities of the set-aside scheme, (b) the number of minor breaches of the scheme and (c) the number of cases where payments were withheld in full or in part; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HanleyThere have been no serious irregularities connected with the scheme in Northern Ireland. One minor breach resulted in a part-payment being withheld. The low level of uptake has made it possible to check all applications and claims for payment.
