§ Mr. WakehamThe objective of the "Making a Corporate Commitment" campaign is to promote investment in energy efficiency by increasing the number of companies with formal management arrangements, including targets for energy savings, and by providing these companies with targeted information on energy efficiency.
I am encouraged by the response to the campaign. To date over 350 companies have requested details and 67 companies have signed the declaration of commitment to responsible energy management, which is the central feature of the campaign. I intend to raise awareness of the campaign in the months ahead through mailshots, seminars, exhibitions, presentation and targeted advertising.
