§ Mr. Kenneth BakerMr. Chahal was detained following the decision to deport him in August 1990 for reasons of national security and for other reasons of a political nature, namely the fight against international terrorism. I am reviewing Mr. Chahal's application for asylum in accordance with the recent judgment of the High Court on his application for judicial review of my decision. In the meantime I am satisfied that Mr. Chahal should remain in detention.
