§ Mr. LeighThe Industry Council discussed a number of textiles and clothing related issues at its meeting on 18 November. These included a Commission communication on improving the competitiveness of the industries, recent developments in world trade and the Commission's latest proposals for structural assistance to areas of the Community with a heavy dependence on textiles industries.
