To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will now take steps to regenerate the local economy of Paisley, Johnstone and Ederslie.

The Government's sound fiscal policies will provide the platform for regeneration. Renfrewshire Enterprise, which has a broad remit and substantial public funding through Scottish Enterprise, is taking the lead in ensuring that the area benefits fully from investment and other development opportunities.
