To ask the Secretary of State for Energy whether his Department has made any notifications to the EC on accidents involving nuclear waste in the United Kingdom since the decision of the European Council on this matter on 14 December 1987.

No. The situation warranting a formal report under the EC decision has not arisen in this country.
