Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is the requirement for additional Army training land in(a) Scotland and (b) the United Kingdom as a whole, following the re-alignment and redeployment of forces as outlined in "Britain's Army for the 90s."

Work is currently under way to examine future training needs in the United Kingdom that will result from the restructuring of the Army and drawdown from Germany.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what changes have been made to the areas, ownership or rights status and types of authorised training in the Galloway and Kinlochleven training areas over the past three years.
