§ Mr. MoynihanOn 8 May I announced that the Government are to fund a £250,000 programme of research into the use of solar power for electricity production. We believe that photovoltaics is a renewable technology which has considerable potential, particularly when incorporated into the fabric of a building. It is towards this area, rather than fundamental research into cell development, that the Department's programme has been focused.
