To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he intends to make budgetary provision for the Medway hospital phase IIIC.

Mr. Dorrell

The Government have just announced the biggest-ever level of capital investment for the NHS in 1992–93. The share of that for South East Thames regional health authority, along with all regional health authorities, will be announced shortly. Provision for Medway hospital phase IIIC is a matter for the region, which will shortly complete its review of priorities for investment over the next decade. These will be made public at its next meeting.
