§ Mr. AllenTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list the locations of the television sets in his Department which can receive the live television feed from the Chamber, and the total cost to his Department of this service.
§ Mr. Leigh[holding answer 3 December 1991]: There are an estimated 18 television sets capable of receiving the live feed. These are installed in each of the five Minister's offices and offices of the permanent secretary and three deputy secretaries. In addition sets in the press office, parliamentary branch and two other offices can also receive the link.
The cost of installation was about £14,000 and the rental for the current year is estimated also about £14,000.
