HC Deb 30 April 1991 vol 190 c149W
25. Mrs. Gorman

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many unused airfields are owned by his Department; what is the total acreage they cover; and what is his estimate of their value if sold on the open market.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

The only unused airfield currently owned by the Ministry of Defence is RAF Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland, consisting of some 577 acres, which is currently being offered for sale on the open market. It is not our policy to disclose our estimate of the value of property in the process of disposal.
