To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will state, for the number of appeals made against the refusal of single payments needing supplementary benefit appeal tribunals in 1985–86, 1986–87 and 1987–88, what proportion were successful(a) where neither claimants nor representatives attended, (b) where the claimant attended but was unrepresented and (c) where the claimant attended with a representative.
