§ Mr. Douglas HoggMy hon. Friend the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, attended the EC-Rio group meeting in Luxembourg on 26–28 April. At the meeting, Ministers noted with interest the initiative by Argentina and Brazil to set up a joint system of accounting and verification, applicable to all nuclear installations in both countries, and to negotiate an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency. A copy of the communiqué will be placed in the Library of the House.
