Mr. Dobson

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total sum paid out in fees by the Metropolitan police to management consultants in 1979–80 and in each following year; and what is his estimate for 1990–91 and budget for 1991–92.

I understand from the deputy commissioner that payments by the Metropolitan police to management and computer consultants, in each financial year since 1984–85, estimated expenditure for 1990–91 and budget estimate for 1991–92 are as follows:
