To ask the Secretary of State For Scotland how many listed buildings have been demolished in(a) Strathclyde and (b) Scotland as a whole in the past five years; what information he has concerning the circumstances of such demolitions; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 26 April 1991]: Information is not readily available in the form the hon. Member has requested. The table shows the number of listed building consent applications notified to the Secretary of State in the period in question which involved demolition, either total or partial, and which were cleared for his interest.
