To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many employees in Wales work for(a) EC-owned firms and (b) other foreign-owned firms.

Some 63,000 people are currently employed at overseas-owned manufacturing plants in Wales. Of these, 14,000 are employed at plants in the ownership of EC countries other than the United Kingdom and 49,000 at other overseas-owned plants.
