§ The Attorney-GeneralAs at 1 April 1991, there were six permanent staff employed in the press office of the Lord
584WChancellor's Department. Since that date, the number of staff in post has increased to seven, four of whom are members of the Government information service.
Staff in post 1984–85 1 1985–86 2 1986–87 3 1987–88 5 1988–89 6 1989–90 6 1990–91 16 1 and one on secondment from another Government Department for six months. For the years up to 1985–86 the staff in post were the same as the complement. In 1986–87 complements were abolished, but the authorised staff levels since that date have been the same as the staff in post.
There were no such staff employed in the period up to 1983–84.
