§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make facilities available to staff in his Department to contribute to the appeal that has been launched for people with the name of John to help raise £5 million for the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardThere are no such plans to make special arrangements for this appeal. The Treasury has in the past publicised to staff the arrangements for payroll giving for charity, and I shall be drawing staff's attention to these general arrangements again in due course.
