HC Deb 25 April 1991 vol 189 c556W
Mr. Fisher

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will list the number and location of all new buildings or extentions commissioned by his Department in each of the past five years which(a) had contracts worth between £3 million and £5 million and (b) had contracts worth more than £5 million.

Mr. Curry

The Ministry took on responsibility for vote accounting and project sponsorship for major new building projects three years ago. Before this the Department of the Environment, Property Services Agency held this responsibility and I have details therefore only of commissions placed after the date of the change.

New buildings commissioned by this Department over these last three financial years in the categories requested are:

  1. (i) value between £3 million and £5 million 1989–90. One at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.
  2. value over £5 million 1988–89. One near Sand Hutton, Yorkshire. One at Weymouth, Dorset.

There were no extensions.
