To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last discussed Vietnam or Cambodia with the American Secretary of State.

Mr. Garel-Jones

My right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary discussed Cambodia with Mr. Baker in New York in September 1990 and the Vietnamese boat people issue in Washington on 28 February. Indo-China issues are regularly discussed with the Americans at senior official level.
