HC Deb 24 April 1991 vol 189 c472W
Mr. Denzil Davies

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer by how much the United Kingdom's trade in(a) food and (b) drink is forecast to be in deficit in 1991.

Mr. Norman Lamont

[holding answer 22 April 1991]: The Treasury does not forecast trade balances in food and drink. The Budget forecast is for the overall visible trade deficit to fall from £18 billion in 1990 to £12 billion in 1991.
