§ Mr. CohenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis as to how many copies of form IM3A are distributed in each year by officers to persons stopped by them while on patrol and as to his policy on the issuing of each form to persons not guilty of any offence.
§ Mr. Peter LloydI understand from the Commissioner that he is not aware of any instances of such forms being distributed to persons stopped by officers on patrol.
Form IM3—notice as regards liability to deportation—and form IM3A—acknowledgement of receipt of form IM3—are normally served on persons who are not British citizens, at the police station and following charging with an imprisonable offence.
§ Mr. DarlingTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many nationals from middle east446W countries issued with notices of intention to deport on national security grounds between November 1990 and January 1991 and who were removed from the United Kingdom following the making of a deportation order against them were so removed on or after 16 January.
