§ Mr. ChopeThe report to the European Commission by the Committee chaired by Monsieur Gerondeau was published by the Commission on 19 February. I welcome the report as providing the basis for the development of a Community strategy for road safety from which to identify priorities for Community action to reduce casualties. Following our representations, the report is to be considered at the June Transport Council.
