§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe Standing Medical Advisory Committee, which advises my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State, has a standing sub-committee on cancer which advises it on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and, where relevant, on education.396W The sub-committee keeps all these topics under regular review. It has recently prepared a manual on quality assurance in radiotherapy.
