To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on his role and functions regarding broadcasting in Wales.

Broadcasting is the statutory responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary. We liaise closely with the Home Secretary on the particularly Welsh features of broadcasting policy. We also advise the Home Secretary on broadcasting appointments related to Wales.
