HC Deb 22 April 1991 vol 189 c321W
Ms. Ruddock

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many applicants and how many acceptances there were for places for the Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham Wood boys and girls schools for the years beginning September 1990 and September 1989, respectively; and what is the ethnic breakdown of these figures for boys and girls, respectively.

Mr. Eggar

The recorded intake for the boys' and girls' schools were, for the boys, 96 and 99 and, for the girls, 96 and 97 in 1989 and 1990 respectively. Intake statistics by ethnic background are not held centrally for these years. However, I understand that the girls' school has produced such statistics for its own purposes for 1990.
