HC Deb 22 April 1991 vol 189 c336W
Mr. Peter Bottomley

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how long it usually takes for information to be made publicly available as to whether a driver had been drinking alcohol before driving and being killed.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

Information about whether a driver killed in a road accident had consumed alcohol would become publicly available only if evidence to that effect was led at subsequent court proceedings, including any fatal accident inquiry.
