§ Mr. McLoughlinThe Government's policy is to promote free and fair competition in aviation, so that there remains a healthy, competitive airline industry in the United Kingdom which meets the needs of users. The market is diverse enough to sustain a variety of United Kingdom-based carriers as well as their foreign competitors.
