Mr. JacksonUnit wage costs in mining and manufacturing in the former Federal Republic of Germany rose by 1.9 per cent. in the year to the third quarter of 1990, which is the latest available information. In the same period unit wage costs in manufacturing in the United Kingdom rose by 9.3 per cent.
