To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food under what circumstances Alphachloralose can be used as a rodenticide.

As from 1 March, Alphachloralose may be used as a rodenticide only when contained in a product approved under the Control of Pesticide Regulations for that purpose, of which there are currently seven. Use of these is governed by specified conditions which must be listed on labels, and which include the restriction that they are for use only as rodenticides.
